Ive started doing a series of drawings/painting of my friends and their belly dancing troupe. I cannot get over how incredibly beautiful these women are. There is something so free and wonderful about belly dancing, not to mention that its mindblowingly sexy. I just cant take my eyes off them when they move. Its really hard to capture the movement on paper, but kind of...

So Ive jumped back into classes, and I have yet to get any really taxing homework. So far Im very excited about this semester. Ive been able to be really creative so far, most of my stuff being fairy oriented cuz thats what my friends are wanting. Ive really started to capture light though. Looking for new, crazy things to do around the city for...

when I went to Alaska when I was a 10 or 11 years old, I bought all these rock sample, quartz, mica, tigers eye, black diamond, fools gold, jade, even a small geode..so on and so forth, thinking, that this is the only place to find these treasures. Later on I learned those can be bought in most any museum gift shop, oh well, I still have them all in a small wooden treasure chest, all the shiny ones on top, very cool to look at.

gulp....would you believe I havent been in the Met? or maybe I have and dont rememeber it

I saw this show on TV, i think it is cable channel 25 here, maybe its WNYC or something like that. It was a show of what can you do in NYC for under $10 a day, they had some pretty cool things to do, maybe look into that. I forget most of what they did, but do remeber you can go to this place called "fashion soup" after 3pm on the weekdays and get 50% off on the soup, and they give you a piece of fruit and bread with it for like $4!!! Also a tour of grand central station area was free also. Might want to look into the show, i think it is called NYC for under $10

central park is free, and you can take som kick ass pix, in the summer, maybe use lighting and photoshop to ad some pixies in> i read some one did that along time ago, with paper cut outs, and fooled most of the media that faeries were real

i have this awsome computer game called "Pharoah". It is like the SIM's, but based in ancient egypt, and takes you through every period in its history. I am into history stuff also. I dont think I have a favorite period, but the Egyptian end, roman uprise, period is intriguing. I bought Age of Empires a few months ago, now I am looking more into the pre feudal china period.

sweet, you knew where i ment in Central Park..nice

vincent price.......in...."The Fly" excellent movie.......

sounds liek a plan to me.

what woudl you consider worthy of a "wow" at a museum, and at which one?

i think the first time i might have thought liek "wow" was when i first saw the brontosaurus in the museum of natural history, or possibly some of the shiny big preciuso stones in the rock and mineral section , btu that was a very long time ago. I havnt been back to them in atleast 10 years, so i am sure alot has changed, or atleast just go 10 years older tongue

So today was walk the entire length of Central Park day. I love doing that, and Fall is my second favorite season. Of course, its kind of depressing walking through the Met alone. Anyone in New York a big fan of museums? blush

So I went to the Bad Religion show. Totally awesome, and now i have a huge bruise on my side. I love battle wounds. It sucks being a girl though, because I wanna mosh and get crazy with the guys, but I would never do that, because I know it kind of kills the intesity for the guys. Id feel bad jumping in there and...

Returning the favor, I suppose, I'd had a number of women help my sorry butt off the floor back when I did this sort of thing. It was kind of nice.

Today has to be one of the most gorgeous days EVER in NYC. I woke up early, showered, and just walked. Its so amazing out. It was the perfect temperature for what I did today I did some new drawings too, one of which i put on here. If you're in New York, I definitely recommend getting your ass outside right now.

So the Museum of Natural History is as huge as I remember it being. The gem section was really fun. I sat with my sketchbook for a few hours and grew some geods, which arent as hard as they look.
Otherwise, I wandered around the city as usual. There's always something interesting going on, and most people here really have no shame. Two people were...

Griffin and Sabine inspired me to do that when I was younger. So relaxing and then you have the satisfaction of bringing home all those pages of interesting sketches.

I was walking on Park Avenue today...and I tend to notice small things while I walk in the city, especially things that tie people together.
shocked Today, it was insane.....I started counting how many people were on their cellphones. I almost couldnt keep up. There were 15 people on their cellphones...in one block on Park Ave. I stopped counting after that because I saw a huge...

oh yeah, its nuts. luckily I dont have to drive in the city, but thank god these people arent behind the wheel. However, it is funny to listen to bits and pieces of conversation as I walk by. biggrin
uncognitive:
The funny thing is, back when I first moved to NYC, when I saw someone walking down the street having a conversation with an invisible person, I thought "That person is obviously batshit insane, and perhaps I should steer clear of them".

Now, I have to do a double take and try and decide between "that person is talking on a cell phone" and "that person is arguing with the voices inside his head urging him to set his hair on fire".
