Wow....I have been so busy this weekend. I can't believe how fast it flew by, I just refuse to believe it is Tuesday. Erg.
[Note: Weekends according to Squeak are 4 days long. Starting from Saturday and ending with Tuesday.]
(That is one of the nice things about my job....I only have to work 3 days.)
However, though I have a great portion of the week off, somehow I manage to stay incredibly busy. I think I really only "relax" maybe once or twice a month. And I can't remember the last time I was "bored" but I'm pretty sure it is a feeling I have yet to experience.
This weekend was no exception. I had a Rodent Show to go to on Saturday that lasted alllllllll day. I judged the Youth Rat category and the Gerbils. I also had a couple of my own rats entered in the show. They all did very very well.
Then sometime between Sunday and Monday....in the span of a few short hours I managed to pick up my friend, Anna, from Washington DC (she does my hair for me), take out all my old dreads, braid in new ones, take my car to the mechanic, pick up my car, take John home, take Anna home, and clean all my rat cages and finish doing my laundry. *sigh*
It was all a lot of fun but very exhausting.
But I have new hair...yay! I got to see Anna and John at the same time....yay! And my car got it's long over-due inspection....yay!
But enough with the "yay"s and whatnot....I still have a lot to do today. I have to make a trip to Lowe's so I can get up the shelves I need for my plants. I have about 200 seeds to start this month so they will be ready for spring. I am extending one of my front gardens and adding a circle garden on the side yard. It is going to be a lot of work....but really, I love doing it. It is all part of being a housewife in training.

dalonghair:
just teasing u about work.
i sometimes whine about working so much, but i obviously enjoy it or i wouldn't be doing it. but seriously, gardening is good for the spirit. getting your hands in the earth puts you physically close to mother earth. very healing. i wish i had garden space where i live now. i loved it when i did. i always felt at ease and peaceful in the fields...
