Pics from Pennsic....

I just got back from my vacation at Pennsic War. For those of you who are not as geeky as I am....it is the largest of SCA events. For those of you who are not geeky enough to know what the SCA is.....
It stands for the Society for Creative Anachronism. It is a society of over 30,000 people who re-create the medieval era. Forget the Renaissance Faire....that is mere child's play compared to an SCA event.

Rather then get into a huge spiel about the SCA...why don't I just let those of you who are curious follow the links above...and those of you who just clicked on my journal to look at pictures get down to doing exactly that.

My medieval persona is that of a 16th century woman from South India....


There are other Indians at Pennsic....we had a lovely dinner over in the Little India encampment...


Where we all dressed our best...


and ate delicious Indian food...


This is the inside of my tent.....it is what I call home during my 1-2 week stay....

I spend most of my time shopping...


There are a TON of merchants at Pennsic....




I still take time to give kisses to the plague rats...


It rained a lot this year...


So we spent a lot of time at the Middle Eastern coffee shop....


My mommy and a kid from our camp....


And so ends Pennsic 2007.....the wettest War ever! Here is hoping next year is drier!!!!!
