Oh wellsince I can't get my fix over at MarvelI guess I'll just update my blog here on SG and see what all you crazy kids are up to. I've been very busy lately so this might be a long post. But I'll try to intersperse it with pictures to keep your interest peaked.

I've been doing a lot of photo shoots lately. I don't have the pictures back from all of them but I do have a few. The following were all taken by dke Photographywho I actually went to school with and dated when I was in 7th or 8th grade I think. I had fun though and I hope to work with him again.
Middle of the Road series:

The images look really good in their sets of three but since the size restriction on the SG blogs are so great, I had to shrink them down a lot to fit. (and it will probably cut off the pics I posted even at that small of size) Sooo I posted a few of the individual images see you can get a closer look.
In other news.....
I saw Rise of the Silver Surfer this weekend!!!
I hope they do more with Silver Surfer in the future. Perhaps an "Infinity Gauntlet" movie??? tee hee!!!
No...but seriously....they should do a crossover. I think movie fans should know that the 616 universe characters actually interact with each other. The movies make it seem like they all are on a separate plane of existence; they should have some Avengers or someone pop in every now and then. And if they REALLY wanted to make the movies true to the comics...
they would have Wolverine in every movie!!!!
hahahhahhahhahhah!!!
oh....I kill myself!
And while I'm being geeky.....let's talk about X-Men 200!!!!
It is coming out next week!!!! Eeeeeeeee!!!!
Why am I so excited???
Ummm....guess who is coming back???
Hell fucking Yeah!!!!!!!!!
Below is Wizards ten reasons to read this issue and Mike Carey's comments:
1) DEATH IN THE FAMILY
A member of Rogue's team falls in the line of duty!
CAREY:"A call to arms, but arguably too late."
2) RETURN OF THE HEROES?
Two prodigal X-Men burst back onto the scene_but whose side are they on?
CAREY: "Ever since I took over, I've been getting questions on one of these characters. There will be some cries of joy when they come galloping over the horizon."
3) BETRAYAL FROM WITHIN
The X-Men face the deadliest threat of all: one of their own!
CAREY: "There's something nasty going on that's not obvious at all and will carry on not being obvious even after the big reveal."
4) POWER OUTAGE
One of the X-Men will lose their mutant abilities when they need them most!
CAREY: "Such a tragic beat, because of how it's done and who is responsible."
5) THE MARAUDERS RETURN
Among the X-Men's deadliest foes, these villains already caused one "Mutant Massacre"_and the timing of their comeback couldn't be worse.
CAREY: "Who's in? Who's out? Don't wait for someone else to buy the issue and tell you!"
6) TAKE THE CRAZY TRAIN
By issue's end, an X-Man's mind may be too far gone to salvage.
CAREY: "The darkest aspect of the issue_and my run so far."
7) MALICE AFORETHOUGHT!
The body-possessing Marauder claims another X-Man!
CAREY: "It's a slightly different Malice with a new method of breaking and entering."
8) X-RATED ENCOUNTER
Two members of the team get closer than ever in a decidedly adult fashion!
CAREY: "Wait until you see how this plays out."
9) THIS BUD'S FOR YOU!
An X-Man_who's NOT named Wolverine_cracks open a cold one!
CAREY: "I'm allowed to do this, right?"
10) UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
The Marauders get a familiar face as their new leader!
My guesses.......
1. Cable
2. Gambit (obviously) and Sunfire (if he counts??)
3. Emma Frost (we all know she has been up to something in Astonishing!)
4. Rogue (maybe, don't know if Carey would let her get her ass kicked, he has such a hard-on for her)
6. Lady Mastermind
7. Malice claims Emma
8. Iceman and Mystique
9. Cyclops (cause that would be funny!)
10. good lord it better not be Gambit but I think it is.
________________________________________________________
I just hope to god they have a good explanation as to why Gambit is back to normal now. Not that I liked him as Death....not in the least! But I hate inconsistencies in storylines even more then I hate bad character decisions. If Marvel insists on changing writers every few issues, then they should at least make them pick up from where the last writer left off. Lately, they seem to let them all just start from scratch and make up whatever bullshit suits them at the time.
I think the cleverest way to write Gambit back to normal is to make him a clone After all, Sinister keeps clones of all the Marauders and it isn't like he doesn't have access to Gambit's genetic material. He had kept a piece of Gambit's brain in his lab for years!! Sooooo...although I think the Gambit lovers won't be too happy, I think it would make for an interesting plot and make quite a bit more sense then just having him show up in 200 as the normal Gambit.
(and yes, I realize I am, in fact, a Gambit lover. But I love comics as a whole enough that I would rather see good, intelligent writing rather then have my fave character cheat his way back to normal)
Besides, it would explain his sudden loyalty to Mr. Sinister. Since Sinister fits his clones with the genetic imprint to want to serve him. So there you go.
Hmmmm.....I should be writing X-Men.
Okay...this is turning out to be the longest post ever!!!! <----said in my best comic book guy voice
So I'm going to leave you all with an overall feeling of geekiness and get back to work doing what I should be doing today....working on my Cosplay costumes.
<3O~
Maybe that's where this continuity is going?
