I went out to Shampoo tonight...much like any other Wednesday night...to do my little box dancing performance. Most people in the area know me better as the "chick that dances on the box at Shampoo" then anything else. It's funny because whenever I run into someone and they are like, "You look awfully familiar, do I know you from somewhere?"
I say, "Suicide Girls?" ---no
"MTV?" ---no
"The G4 channel?" ---no
"Deviant art? The Extreme Culture book? Myspace??" ---no, no, no
"Ummm.....I dance on the box at Shampoo??" - oh! yeah! That's it!!
See? No matter how big I get, I am still just the girl that dances on the box at Shampoo.
Tonight was especially funny because there was a a new catch phrase going around.
And the new phrase is....*drum roll please*.......
"It's okay, I know Squeak."
This was apparently started when a guy bumped into a friend of mine on the dance floor. My friend turned to him and told the guy to watch where he was going. The guy simply looked at him and said; "It's okay, I know Squeak."
Then! At the end of the night, one of the security guards was clearing people out of the room. Some guy was acting up or something and the security guard told him to get moving. The guy apologized and then said; "It's okay, I know Squeak."
Both of these instances were reported to me at the end of the night and now everyone jokes that when you do something wrong all one need say is "It's okay, I know Squeak" and all will be forgiven.
Frankly, I had no idea that I was a walking alibi. This alone should be reason enough for people to want to be friends with me. In fact, I should be raking in friends!!
So if you are planning to do something wrong, commit a crime, act like an idiot, whatever your little heart might desire....you might want to think about trying to befriend me first.
Just a suggestion.
