I just finished reading Uncanny X-Men 475-478....and I just have to say...."wow".
It has been awhile since I've read Uncanny. However, since the team over at X-Men got changed recently...I haven't been crazy about it. I mean, I like the arc but c'mon, they put Rogue in charge??? What??
Let's just pick the most emotionally unstable person in the mansion to run the team! heh. It is so obvious that the new X-Men writer just has a hard on for Rogue. (sans Remy...I might add)
Buuuuut.....at my last trip to the comic store, I noticed that they had put the little heads back on the cover of Uncanny. And who am I to turn down head??
Ahhh it's like old times.....when I didn't have to even open a comic to know if any of my favorite characters were featured. And speaking of favorite characters! Uncanny is now sporting Polaris and Havok. (yay!) And an exciting new arc!! (yay again!)
Thank you Uncanny for curing me of my recent resentment and boredom of X-titles. I am getting over my depression from them booting Gambit off the team and out of all Marvel titles. *grrr* Ok... I'm still angry....I still have a good mind to give some Marvel writers and editors a swift kick in the shins should I have a chance. But I am no longer boycotting Marvel titles.
However, if anyone has heard any news or rumors about what they plan to do with Gambit (aka horseman Death)....please let me know!
I am worried about him. It seems like Marvel writers have been screwing him left and right this past year. Which reminds me of one of the funniest (and truest) quotes I've seen on the Marvel Boards as of late:
Seriously, at this point leaving Gambit in the hands of marvel's writers is like leaving a baby in the care of a crackwhore.

Is it weird that that was one of the sexiest blogs I've ever read? A gorgeous girl going on about comic books (x-men no less) is too good to be real....I miss the Age of Apocolypse universe

I named my kitty after Gambit!
