Erg, I've has some bad luck!
A few days ago I ate something that I was allergic to, which caused my face and throat to swell up. I took some allergy meds to see if the swelling would go down but it continued to get worse...so bad, in fact, that I ended up in the emergency room.
I missed work today because my face isn't quite back to normal yet and the medication the hospital gave me makes me extremely drowsy. Depending on how I look in the morning, I might miss tomorrow as well.
This is not a good thing. One of the downsides to working under the table is the lack of vacation days and paid sick days. It simply doesn't exist in my line of work.
True, I make very decent money.....however, I am missing two Friday shifts next week for a wedding and the following week I am going out to San Diego for the comic convention and missing an entire -week- of work. I had really wanted to try to get ahead with July's bills this week. But at this rate, I'll be lucky to get into work at all.
Soooooo....today I sat my butt down in front of the sewing machine. I figured some Ebay sales might be in order to help me catch up a bit with my finances this month. I made about 9 articles of clothing....if I can find some more time (or if I stay home from work again) I'm going to try to make more stuff to sell.
I'll be sure to post a link once I take some pics of the clothes and put them up for sale. Probably on Monday after I get my hair done.
