i got my order from sg today of the deck of playing cards, and a sample pack of stickers.
i've been wanting the deck of playing cards ever since i heard about them because i've been a fan of Rion Vernon for YEARS. since i was like....12?
a huge period of my life i'd try and draw his drawings, trying to discover my own technique. havent found it yet, but i had so much fun trying to draw his stuff. and now i have even more stuff of his to try and draw! ahhh! yayness.
i'm sad i never got the calander that were orginally sold when the cards first came out, but i'll be ok.
i'm just so freggin happy to have this deck of playing cards.
no. i will never use them to play cards (maybe...once...) i have another deck that is worse for ware that i'd rather use. these are simply a fan collectors item for me. plus. its a lot cheaper than buying a shitload of prints.
but i'm surrrrrriously in love with some of the drawings. gah! RV is just a pure genius.
its sad that some of the girls (ok, like half the deck) arent SG's anymore, but they deserved to be in this deck of cards. i will always love them for their amazingwork.
blah. i'm becoming a total nerd.
work should be fun today. i work with mah girl becca, and we ALWAYS have fun together.
PLUS my card is working. and so is my paypal. yessss! shit is starting to look up.
i will be able to get my belovid starbucks before work today. yessssssss.
