We had some pretty big storm cells rip through here this afternoon. I just lost all my power. It flickered about an hour ago and then came back on but now it's been off for almost a half hour.

yeah im sure you will get the hang of it.. when i shoot manual i still watch the metter in the viewfinder and it its off by more than 2 stops i stop and rethink what im doing or ateleast verify im in the ballpark

Hope you're jumping your ass off this weekend. The weather here is great (means nothing to you there, but...). We're going to try to get one in the next two weeks. Should be cool. Their are only 3 other guys here qualified and they've littls experience, so I'm gonna sky-shark the hell out of one of them, shhhhhhhhh. He has no idea... I bet he shits himself.

i used my 1gb 40x cf card (made by lexar - a very good card if you ever want to pick one up) .. and then i used the girls 256mb cheap card (the kind you get at walmart) so we dident have to wait the 7 minutes to dump the 1gb card.. for this application the 256 worked well though in a high speed situation it would have totaly boged down... this time though the flash was the bottle neck as it took a few seconds to reacharge after each shot... if you do SG sets though i would definatly recomend 2 cards as the time dumping one card is kind of wierd with the modle just standing around naked waiting..

I love it when the weather is warm at night. I've got a big window at the head of my bed and I love leaving it open at night and listening to the wind blow through the trees outside. The moon also shines right in which is kick ass.
