You know I always kind of figured that pity was the last thing any of my kids needed. Feeling sorry for them gives them excuses to be lazy and grow complacent, and I have seen too many micro-miracles come out of handicapped kids that were determined and brave to allow any of mine to start thinking that they had no options but reliance and failure. I'm realistic in the goals I set for them, on IEPs or otherwise, but I have learned that even doctors and the leading experts can be wrong when they say "can't". Besides, pity leads to patronizing and as you know so much better than I, there is nothing worse for a neurotypical but orthopedically impaired person than being treated like they are retarded. So, I'm glad you understand where I'm coming from on it, some people think that it's cruel but it really couldn't be further from the truth.

Seven is a lot of babies! We have two tiny ones running around, and they're tons of work already. You have a lot of bitten toes and spilled kitten chow to look forward to.

ha.. dang, Im jellous.. Its friggin pouring out here.. argh. Its so irritating.. shittiest july ever
oh man.. I bought this "teen book" yesterday.. its called "Vegan Virgin Valentine" It seemed like it would be good.. but so far im jsut irritated bcause the main charachter who is vegan.. only went vegan because "its a lot of work and takes her mind off of a boy who dumped her"... Its jsut kidna stupid. She hints at disliking animal abuse but her whole veganism ideals are " i dont like drinking or eating anything that comes out of an animal, its gross" ha.. Like there arent 386348753 better reasons. And she jsut keeps dreaming of cheese food. Which is wierd. I dunno any vegans whove been vegan for 7 months and dream about cheese. I dunno... Im just complaining haha.. I jsut dont think the author did her homework with veganism.. and It makes so many of us who are serious seem like total flakes.
Anyway.. done with venting. xox
