Why is it easier to find sex than it is to find somebody to connect to emotionally? It's such the opposite of when you're younger. When young, you talk on the phone all day with somebody, share all your secrets, hold hands down the street. As an adult, that's harder to come by. Sex becomes almost casual.
I wish I had an easier time finding somebody who would lay in bed with me and watch some dumb show on Netflix on the laptop and just cuddle. Somebody who would just snuggle with on the beach and just watch the waves and listen to the chatter of other people.
I guess at some point we get hurt and betrayed by so many people we don't let ourselves become emotionally open to new people as easily. That in the end, we still have those needs of the flesh that have to be met. So we allow people to share in our bodies but not our emotions, our souls.
It's too bad as people we cause others to become like this.
