This homework comes from @vorpal, who puts a ton of work into running the SG Hopeful Instagram page. She gives us homework from time to time as well. This one is a fun one as she's asking us to blog about a favorite photo from any of our sets and then to post about it on Instagram. The ultimate goal is to bring it all back to the Suicide Girl's website since this is where it all starts.
As some of you have probably seen, I have a brand new set in Member Review! And since it's of me, you better believe it was shot by my bestie @roz because....who else shoots me as good as she does?!
My favorite photo from that set is...*drum roll*
It is hard to pick a single photo because Roz has such talent and her photos make me see that I am a beautiful person but I love this one the most because I have had such issues with my smile. I had years of dental work as both a kid and an adult and I have seen photos of me that make me really self-conscious of my smile. This photo though makes me really happy because it is a totally genuine look and I am not ashamed of it.
It's also my favorite photo from this set because I feel like it embodies the whole vibe we were going for. We shot this set with the intention of submitting it in time for October and Halloween. I loooooove Halloween, far more than Christmas. I have always been a little goth girl deep down and it is the only time of year where it is socially acceptable to express; GET ALL THE BLACK THINGS!
Going further with the set theme, I do not feel like I embody the conventional "sexy" look. I'm off, I'm different, so my version of sexy is different than others. This photo represents a psycho girl on the loose who's stopping to enjoy herself for a moment, smell the flowers a little! I think what is far creepier than just a maniac out to get you is a maniac who is smiling and enjoying themselves in the process!
