Saw a couple hardcore bands last night. I don't even know who they were, or what they were saying, but it was pretty damn good. I really didn't need to know what they were saying. It's the aggression that was good. Really hard. Really fast. Pure emotion. The words probably wouldn't have meant anything to me, and possibly would have ruined it for me. They...

i like that concept for the lawn blower guy in the movie.
question, have you seen this, and what are your thoughts on participating? http://suicidegirls.com/groups/Artists/journals/37243/

I don't have any really feeling about it, other than it might enrich the community somewhat. On the same note, i don't care much, as if i believe it would be art on display for artists mostly. And i don't see the point at all. A few years back i did a show in Japan, i didn't get to go, i just shipped my work there. Turns out there was alot of interest, but i wouldn't budge on my price, because i didn't want to sell. I bring this up in that i think it relates. Do you believe that this would better the community, or would it just propel a few of us into the SG spotlight, which would mean almost nothing other than popularity for the most of us?
I have questions, and i see the possiblities, but i don't see this as being anything more than art for the artists. Which might not be so bad on the off hand, but can be a killing blow to ambition.

Teasing people with lawnblowers. Naughty. wink

I've been meaning to pick up some David Sedaris. He's actually on my list of books to read. Yes, I have a list. I'm ADD. If I didn't have a list, it would never happen. smile I'd liked The Fat Man in History by Peter Carey. It's on my books list.

Baja camping/surfing trips, hiking, sometimes bars, etc. and it scares me that I can be so comfortable without company. Who will be there to watch/warn me of my decline?
oh yeah! My biggest concern which I didn't mention, is losing my sanity. I'm also a loner. I don't know that any will notice my decline. Oh well. robot

K is my ex. Taeris here. We had an 8 year open relationship. It was quite something. He's my best friend.

summer has landed. Time to cast off my winter brooding. there are girls in bikinis everywhere. There is an ocean across the street. Um... my coffee has ice in it. How can I be angry at the world with that going on? I'm listening to Rage Against the Machine, but it's not helping. I'm all happy about my rage. Cat Power says something about winter...

I live by the beach too, but it's too cold for a bikini frown
I think it might be time for a road trip to someplace warm.

I don't do yoga either, but my friends think that if people like my purses and clothes, they'll like the yoga mat bags too.

Yeah, I hope I meet Jazmin at Prom. You said that you are going, right?

kiss
noelani:
OMG :looks up: I'm gonna meet RoseMarie! And you? Are you going?

I love the summer. I just spent the last weekend in 100+ degree weather. Fuckin fabulous. Laid out, danced, played...you know all the good stuff. I do wish it involved swimming somehow, but no such luck. I listened to rage against the machine too. So much fun.

laying here on my belly, drinking Asahi. Friday night and I'm staying right here. Hopefully do some drawing. Tomorrow is day 13 without a day off, and I don't see one coming soon. luckily i crack my own whip... sick me, oh I'm sick. Float on, float on. What would mr. Issac Brock say:

"Well that is that and this is this. Will you tell...

I tried to read Point Counterpoint 5 times I'd say.

I like that quote above. It kind of hurts to read it.

my ex girlfriend called me today. i always think about her in a much better light than she actually casts. she did however insist that I check out modest mouse. I told her I already had, and loved them.
she is dating some grad student at USF who is supposed to be a photographer.
I put up a drawing of voltaire. I think I am going to stop doing these an art portraits and try and make some actual art (not that those drawings aren't any good, but they are more like an exersize than real art).

I'm just gonna update this thing cause i got noooothin'. I fucking ramble on all day, you can't shut me up sometimes, but get me in front of the computer and I can't write anything. It's not real anyway. i'm never gonna write anything serious when other people can read it. This place would be damn funny if everyone wrote exactly what they were thinking...

crystal days...sometimes, while creating something artlike, 14 hours can easily pass without even thinking about food or anything...it's pretty selfish, but when there's nothing but me and it, it can be pretty blissfull.

I want that.

Man I'm gonna move up to north county. I need space. there's so many things I want to do that require me having a garage, or a shed or yard etc. etc. I've been down in Mission Beach for so many years it's hard to think about leaving, but it's just so congested down here. There's no room for yards, and forget about a larger...

I've had it on repeat, so i've heard the whole thing twice.
THIS IS DOPE!
I also got 'The lonesome Crowded west', but i haven't listened to that one yet.

Aha! one more profile. Shmee was cool, but I'd rather have an origional. So this is me, the hansome chimp.

Hmmm, not a lot going on here. Getting into work lately. I think it's time for me to get serious about it. It's always just been a job, but I don't see myself doing anything else, so I might as well focus on doing a...

Kreepy teddy bear courtisy of Jhonen Vasquez.

I've been playing with the Corel Painter. It seems like the shizz so far. It's funny, I pretty much emulate the way I paint with oils anyway, but it's tripy just to see it work, and it's pretty damn easy...it's discusting!
I don't know what's up, but the weeks have been flying by for me lately. I hope...

awesome bear... as for the dreams, I never studies psychology, I was just talking out of my ass.

Painter is fun, and you can do some really kick ass stuff with it. I should use it more, but I find photoshop easier for some reason (even though it isn't as versatile)

I love the teddy! He's so little but yet he'll take on the world if needed. No pushing that little one around. Hey, that's me.
Also, thanks for the support, I appreciate you. biggrin

OMG!! HEATHER dissapeared! I'm saddened. I thought she was cool. and she was one of my "favorites"

OK, someone try and desipher this dream for me. Have all the fun you want with it...if you can stand to read it all.

the first part seems like you are experienced, and feel a need to teach someone less experienced the right directions, or you have a kind of protective nature. maybe you need to be a mentor to someone.
the second part seems more sadistic, and fun-loving. it could signify a callous nature, which would be in contrast to the first part. Then, you could have this dichotimous attitude toward humanity, both apathy and sympathy, or I don't know what the fuck I am talking about. Probably the latter.

Heather did have some nice photosets. i had considered drawing her, but never got around to it.

ok. lemme take a shot at this one.

Part 1. I DONT KNOW WHAT THE HECK THAT WAS.

the only thing i can perhaps question is if your friend has been doing anything lately that has made you think about his maturity level and your own. possible contrast between the two?

Part 2. the bloodless kill bill vol.1

definetly more carefree, loving life, but not taking everything so seriously. This leads me to believe that this is all about the relationship you have with your friends, and what binds you together. I dunno. i could be reaching here.

I hadn't remembered until reading your entry today that one of my recurring nightmares/dreams visited me last night.
Hadn't had that particular dream/NM in at least 5 years.
Oddly enough, right now i can't remember what it was about, even tho i know it well.

I forgot how fast the hours fly while using graphics programs. What a good way to waste time though, and I'm not killing my brain with oils!

Tortoise is coming!! YeahYeah oink oink oink, I'm such a glutton for live music.

I've been meaning to ask ya, what you do for a living?

it does make the time go by quicker.

Nope, no gourds or metal straws here. Just a mug. I love Mate'.

Saw Electrolane at the Casbah. These girls can rock a small club for sho! They opened up for Loui IV, who I talked shit about in a past journal. There's no doubt they can play, but I had to go in the back and play Galaga after the first 2 songs. My friend who's been a musician for years soon followed, ( with a mouthful...
