So my weekend rocked! I got to hang out with my friend her husband and their baby whom is the cutest baby on earth. We got great food yummy homemade ice cream and went to see a roller derby match. Every time I go to a match it makes me want to join a league so bad, as soon as I get me some good...

Hello, hello! I'm feeling much better thank you. I've been house and pet sitting for my pops while he and my step-mom are up in Napa county. It's been a little quiet, but thankfully the dogs (Mr Big and "Shorty" - A chihuahua and a husky-malamute-wolf mix) have been keeping me company.
Well, it sure sounds like you don't suck at life right now.
I'm glad you had a good weekend that included some homemade ice cream (which flavor?) and some "hell on wheels".
I'm assuming that you heard that quote during the Roller Derby...
Me, I've enjoyed the last two days off from work and did a little clothes shopping for my upcoming trip to a Canadian winter. I'm not really looking forward to the cold, but everything else should be fun. At least I'll be away from the whole Christmas-Retail craze for a whole week!!! The traffic around town becomes intolerable, easily taking over half an hour to travel within town as you near the 25th, so I'd just assume not be around for a while. Too bad I come back right as it's peaking (on the 18th). Oh well...
Thought for the day: When I win the lottery I'm quitting my job.

Ok so I am watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire for like the 3rd or 7th time this week and it really never gets old. All the Harry Potter movies are the kind you can jump into them at any point in the movie and they don't get old.
Now I know you are saying it's Friday night why are you home on...

So, what are you doing staring at your computer on a Saturday night?
I guess we both suck at life.
I just finished watching the Da Vinci Code and thought I'd check in. All those puzzles they were solving made me curious about how your's is going... Still stumped? I guess I made it a little too difficult, sorry. I have to confess that I made the puzzle up (all by myself, in my own head) quite a long time ago (I even sketched it out once). I forgot about it until you showed me your's which inspired me to give it a "digital" face lift. I suppose it might be a little easier if I showed you the original sketch (or it could confuse you even more). The neat thing is that I'm thinking of revisiting a bunch of my old sketches and giving them the photoshop make over. I really wish I had my 'old' computer back (I've been on a couple of surrogates for too long now). It's got a bunch of stuff I was working on with Photoshop before it went belly up... SIGH... I guess I've just been too busy to take care of it just yet.
Well, it's about that time again, so I'm signing off for the evening. I hope your kitties keep you warm. Revelation of the day: Cats are basically fur and claws (teeth too). They are soft and furry, naturally you'd like to pet them (and they usually like it too) but there are certain "risks" involved since cats also like to bite and claw, even (especially?) when they're being affectionate. Mr Opie cat reminded me of this basic fact today when I was cuddling him. He has some of the strongest paws with supersharp claws, so when he digs in his 'flesh hooks', they really hurt. The funny thing is that he's just "love clawing" (kind of like kneading dough that most cats do), but with Opie it's a bit different. So, soft fur and sharp claws. Yep, cat's are a walking (meowing) ying-yang. That and they don't do anything you "ask" or want them to do. It's entirely up to them...
Here are a few parting shots of the big cuddly (clawey) furball (enjoy):

Hey, I read the books since one week. I do this every year in the christmas time and I cant get enough

I can't wait for Saturday I am going with a good friend to LA to watch Roller Derby. One day when I have health insurance I am going to get my ass in a league. I need a way to work off some chub, work of some frustrations and kick some ass (in a good way not hurting anyone way)

fellonearth:
Yeah, health insurance would be nice. The funny thing is that when I had it, I never used it or needed it. My current employer doesn't offer any insurance, so that pretty much means I'm screwed if I need it (other then Medi-Scare). Just curious, but what nick name would you have if you were in the Roller Derby right now? And what type of character personality would you have?
Inquiring minds want to know...
P.S. Just in case you really get stuck on the puzzle, go back and take a closer look at the last message I sent to you, there are more hints then I let on to help guide you towards the solution.

Don't worry, your secret is safe with me.
It's very clever, quite original and it suits you well. The funny thing is I keep picturing a scene from Gangs Of New York (The Irish sheriff swinging his shillelagh around for full effect - *bonk* - ouch!!!) Goodnight sweet pea, sleep well.

Guess what, I'm a Four (B & Y). Good quiz, but only 2 questions?!? I'm more complicated than that... Still though, not bad for a simple survey (and unexpectedly, it gives back more then it takes, so that makes it 'cool' in my book). Thanks for sharing, oh inquisitive one
.
Glad to hear you had fun in Vegas. It's been years since I've been... Ok, not entirely true, I had to go to a convention there about a year ago which pretty much took up all the "fun" time between the 18 hours (including a little sleep) that I was there, so that doesn't count. Anyways, I usually lose if I play, so I generally abstain from gambling (the only sure bet is that I'll lose
). Still though, it's not bad so long as you have fun and stay smart (knowing your limits). So you want to know about my weekend? Hmm, well let's talk about what I didn't do. I didn't go gambling. No seriously, I backed out of a get together with some friends who were planning on having a good time on Saturday night at Pechanga. Instead, I stayed at home alone to watch a couple of bad movies as punishment for my social failings (I suck). Well, there was that and I've also worked everyday since Thanksgiving, but that's about it... Pretty exciting, eh?
P.S. Thanks for your advice on care for my wrist, it's almost back to normal. I've also tried to refrain from typing unless absolutely necessary...
...
...
P.P.S. It's only fair I return the favor. If you're still feeling like a huge knot since your drive home from Vegas, I think the following perscription may help: For Joint Pain... If that doesn't work, try a nice soothing soak in a warm bath with some relaxing music (you may wish burn some 'incense'
). Follow with stretching. Repeat periodically if necessary until tension fades.

Adoption is always best, too many animals are "bred" for sale that end up getting euthanized (along with many other non pure-breeds). The indigent pet problem in America is actually really bad, I was just reading that each day 10,000 children are born in America compared to the 70,000 puppies and kittens that are born daily. Not good numbers for the animals...
At least Yuri is a mutt who was free, but that doesn't mean he or the other animals are cheap... I just bought a couple weeks of food for them and it came to over $80 bucks (with a few new toys for the puppies). Yuri just loves his new plush hedgehog. It's hilarious to watch him play with it and then settle down with it affectionately cradled in his mouth, ocassionally giving it a squeak when he bites down. I actually have taken quite a few pictures of Yuri, but most end up getting deleted since he's always moving unless he's sleeping (hence the nature of most of his 'good' photos). I'll try and post a few more pics in my photo album...

(No, I'm not pretending to know French, it just seemed to fit.)
Bah, listen to me, I sound so dreary. I don't want to think about it, my brother's wedding is a week from today (as of midnight), I should be excited and happy. I hope you have a good weekend and are able to spend some quality time with some good friends (or family). I'm going to be busy working right up to when I have to run off to my Sister's house in Long Beach before flying out of LAX early the next morning. I should be packing, but instead, here I am, sharing my life with some broad. ...
I wouldn't have it any other way.
