I hope you have fun at the party, and your costume is great. Now that you mention it, Eddie (In Drag) is recognizable. How funny is that? My mom and her girlfriend watch alot of GLBT stuff, so I'm sure I happened to see at least something that s/he was in that they were watching. Ok, that's about it. Um, yeah. So have fun.

Hmm, a new puppy? I can think of one pup who needs a new home, she's adorable and not too terribly big either. "Claire" is adorable and loving, maybe you might consider adopting her? She's the smallest pup of the lot and won't likely get much bigger (ok, maybe just a bit). She's also good with cats (she thinks Opie is a dog, which is fine by him - he thinks he's a dog too).

Mr. Big (Biggy) is a Chihuahua-Jack Russel Terrier mix, possibly full Chihuahua though. He's such a great dog, and he's well behaved - don't know about cats though, he's at my Step-Mom's, so no cats.

Oh dear, oh my... I am so sorry to hear, you must be feeling overwhelmed by your loss. I wish I could say something comforting or wise, but I'm not sure that anything I say will be of much help. Still, I can't help but try. There are those whom we love that we will always hold close to our hearts, although he may have departed from life, your love for him will always remain. May the memory of your father bring you joy instead of sorrow whenever you think of him. Though I never met you or your father, I can tell you had a strong connection and that you loved him deeply. Perhaps his presence in your memory will also help to guide you and give you strength. I can't tell you how to grieve for him, but if it feels like too much, allow yourself the time and don't be afraid to ask for a little help from your friends. May he rest in peace.

I guess that's what makes it even more painful for you, that you know it is goodbye. I'm so sorry.

It's really funny because I can remember a product recall for some "bad" puffed corn-rice (think cheese-puff "lite") chips that were for sale at Trader Joe's. It was called Pirate's Booty.
