Had some fun shooting with model Natasha yesterday. She's in the UK, and I'm in Ireland, so the wonders of tech got it all together. We had some discussion previously as she was looking to update her camera for remote shooting. She went with the Fuji X-T2, of which I have 2. I've the X-T4 as well, but the 2 is so capable, and at such a good price second hand, it really worked for her.
The upside is that you can shoot anyone, anywhere in the world that there's reasonable wifi and get the full raw files from camera. The downside is the model is doing all the work. Organising the set, moving the camera, setting up lights etc. The photographer can change the settings and take the shot, but that's it. The model then has to send on the Raw files, so more work after.
But still, you get to work with people you might not otherwise, without the travel expense.
If you don't have a camera, there's still another way. Look at theshutter.app for a phone app that allows others to access the camera on your phone to shoot remotely. It's only the camera and nothing else, so your own photos are safe and hidden. You give permission to start the session and can end it whenever you like.
