(This seems to go over well with bikers - white boy singing like a big black mama - I always borrow my friend's cordless guitar and wear one of the little microphone neck holder thingies for this so I can jump up on women's tables and sing to them)

I'm thinking of doing a disk of me reading Dylan's novel Tarantula set to weird music I'll create. May use effects on my voice as well. If you are unfamiliar with it, the entire cryptic stream of consciousness-style text is posted at the following link (as are a number of other non-musical Dylan writings like Chronicles One and liner notes and even a transcript of his Mother's Day radio show - I don't have XM Satellite radio, so I have never heard Dylan's radio show yet, but everyone I've heard from loves it, even non-Dylan fans) http://home.nyc.rr.com/dylanology/wrtwrddb.htm

Y'awl be chilly, now, hear?

Great setlist there, per usual. I really like Powderfinger. It might be my favorite Young/Horse ditty. That got me thinking, have you ever done a re-creation of a historic concert before? You know, like do an entire Dead show, song for song? I was thinking, if I ever got into a band, I would love to do the whole Live Rust concert/album all the way through one time. Not sure I could afford the sets for that (or the Roadyes for that matter), but I think it would be cool. Robyn Hitchcock did the entire Dylan "Royal Albert Hall" concert one time. Complete with audience yells of Judas! It's great. Here's another question: you've heard the Traveling Wilbury's stuff, right. What do you think of it. I think it's great, taken for what it is. A good time. biggrin
