Here's a question for everyone...

You're sitting in a public place in front of a large picture window when out of nowhere, you hear a loud "THUD."

You look up and see bird feathers stuck to the window. You look down and see a stunned robin that has just flown into a window. It is still alive but not moving, just breating. You can't get...

I walked into painbearer's office yesterday and what did I see, but a HUGE paper shredder!

When I say huge, I mean like the size of a small kitchen stove. It had a gaping 1.5 inch opening for paper and some very angry looking knives staring back at me from the hole.

That was a challenge to me. So I walk over to ol'PB's...

It's so hard to find quiet in the city, Having grown up in the northeast, snowy days are very special. My friends from other parts of the country don't always understand why I like the snow and the cold so much.

I love the peaceful silence that comes with the fallen snow. Everything is new again. My world is completely changed with a snowstorm. The...

Well, enough on war driving.

I've moved on to html. Havning nothing else to do on this fine Saturday, I went down to the library and started reading my new htmlbook.

Having never spent much time in a library this was a new experience. I kinda liked it.

Now I'm sure there'll be members out there that ask, "hey so_radio, did you use emacs?...

War driving is driving around with a laptop and picking up as many wi-fi access points as possible. I used a program called macstumbler with my GPS receiver.

What I come home with is a file that lists wireless networks that I heard with their associated locations on our geoid.

Well, more later, I must now venture out into the snow...

I do not buy detergent in bulk, thank you very much. I just buy a large jug of it...come on, I'm a girl that lives with 2 other girls, we do laundry on a regular basis.

Friend of the painbearer, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Santa Fe. Not many seem to know about it, especially young people like yourself. Where did you stay? I ask because people always ask me where to stay here, and I never know, having only been a permanent resident myself.

Cheers.

Well, just as I expected, flying with a cold will lead to ear pain. Fortunately, I discovered that eating peanuts helps

Getting ready for my move to Denver, CO this summer. Going to the strore to get a Denver metro map and a CO map. Any SG folks from Denver? What's a good way to get to know the city?

I am a dork.

evidence.

If anybody wants some really great pictures of ski lifts, let me know. I have a great one of a double chair's coutnerweight.

Fresh powder and high winds today. Great fun except for the slow lifts and frequent stops. Friggin kids.

Back to reality tomorrow, hopefully accompanied by bluegrass music and beer.

sick in NH and watching the snow. reflecting on the tennants of good skiing form: body facing down fall line, weight on downhill ski. If I get into crappy snow, weight over the tips; the shovels will "float" over the bad snow. Let my legs absorb the shock. Avoid the "frozen ice death cookies."

I hate that term, but it describes those frozen ice balls...
