'Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!'

The first hot day of the year today, hot weather makes me feel like a slug and i barely did anymore than just reading today.
just idly reading passages from Through the looking glass in the garden, i love those old Alice illustrations...

Actually I was the same as you when it comes to touching,
til about a year ago when I started seeing a kind of fysiotherapist that helped me with it.
Before that I couldn't even let my boyfriend touch me!

(plus with the massaging they use aroma therapie and relaxing music.. it's hard not to fall for!!)

how's work coming along on the movie?

time for a new update i suppose.
i'm thinking about making a submission for the holland animation festival but i want to use a totally new animation style i never used before so i have no idea how good this is going to turn out.
my idea is a short movie about a kid that gets picked on everywhere, at home, on the train, in...

I wrote a short story once about a kid who everyone picks on.. he gets on the schoolbus and one of the kids knocks his head off onto the seat next to him and sticks a tapeball (the duct tape they use to repair the bus seats) down his neck.

He can't find the head so he continues on with his day, going to classes, but unable to speak - just makes gurgling sounds with the hole in his neck. I wonder if the monsters could relate to him better. It wouldn't be quite as cute, tho.

Photo time tongue
I went back to the veen today to see how it changed, last time i was there everything was still dead and the animals were still just waking up from their hibernation.
It was totally different this time, there's was tons of living reet and whole fields of verns starting to rise up.
it was really hard to find animals with all this...

Well, ya know, I think you're right. Portland is the SG hotspot! wink

Well, if that's the case, I think snakes have a lot of bad days, cuz both times that I've been around one that was "safe" or "didn't bite," it tried to take a chunk outta my face or my arm.

Maybe it's because they don't chew before the swallow and they get really bad tummy aches? tongue

I need to practice my photoshop skills so i just spend all day photoshopping this picture.

the thing is, i'm slightly colorblind (which is quite a big problem considering what i do).
I never tell people like teachers and managers since a colorblind designer can't really be a good thing.
most of the time it goes fine, i can always ask some peoples opinions on...

this is the last time i'll be working for the university, for the past three years i spend summers here making educational animations for highschool students.
it used to be pretty fun work but this summer we're wrapping up the project which means i'm...

today, sad animal stories i read in the paper.

there's a lioness in africa that got seperated from her pride, some how her maternal instinct kicked in and she adopted a baby impala.
the lioness is taking care of the impala baby, licking it clean and keeping it save from predators and the impala is staying close to the lion.
as cute as that sounds...

Well, some people did. They did all but make it public on the boards and in other's journals. I had to step up before it became some high school game. *sigh*

I had a great day today, i went to the veen outside out town (think marsh or swamp except pretty and not smelly).
It's so pretty there and the air is so clean, you really don't notice how dirty city air is untill you go to a place like that and you come back just to notice that you're trying to avoid inhaling too deeply....

today is a good day, i woke up this morning to pee around 4am, normally you'd say urgh and wish you were asleep but as i was walking downstairs every single bird in the neighbourhood broke out in song simultaniously.
they do that every day for about 20 minutes but normally i miss it since they do it around 4 am.
it was so pretty...

Don't you just love how it smells after a rain storm, and how all the snails are starting to cross the roads and stuff?
I helped one cross the 'stoep' :-)
