This time of year there's always some sort of show on about something spooky. Ghosts and goblins and all sorts of boogins. I find that I enjoy a lot of the ghost-hunting shows, but more for the history of the structures, atmosphere, and things of that nature. As for the whole "paranormal" aspects I tend to take them with a grain of salt. The shows always have a lot of oohing and awwwing and scientific tools, but never show any real evidence of anything no matter how loud and freaked out they get. So I tend to ignore the hoopla and scary soundtracks and enjoy the stories and history instead. I guess I'll remain a doubting Thomas for now.

I'm getting cabin fever as of late. School stresses have me down and I really need to get out and about and do something. Perhaps I'll take a little drive over to the coast and visit Rogue. That's always fun when you're as big of a beer dork as I am.

I was invited to come visit the folks as they winter in Gulfport, Mississippi but I decided to decline. Not that I didn't want to, but this time of year airline tickets are always about double what they are any other time. The folks were offering to pay and everything, but I just couldn't let them spend that kind of money. I'd rather they keep it and have a good time.

The winter beer brewing bug has bored into my brain as of late. I've got three batches aging in the kitchen and I'm already getting the urge to brew again. I can't decide what style to make though. Hrm...

Don't be so sure.

I miss you! When you are you going to be up this way again?

Yeah, but the floors are just as sticky as in the regular theaters.

While you're brewing the beer, I've been baking the breads. My current project is pizza dough... have two batches proofing right now in the kitchen.

All hail yeast, giver of life!
