Tomorrow is tax day. Sure I waited to the last minute, but I had issues getting all my paperwork sent to the right address.

It was great seeing everybody yesterday at PDXbrunch, and a special thanks to everyone for being so gracious and welcoming to my old college buddy Brian. He was having a tough time that day as his grandfather was in a hospital bed thousands of miles dying of cancer, and I think it helped to take his mind off it. Sadly, he did pass away at around three.

SGPDX goes camping is coming soon. I plan to bring some homebrew as well as I have an oatmeal chocolate stout and a pumpkin ale ready to roll. The oatmeal stout is not bad for a first try at the style. I think I got the oatmeal a wee bit too strong in it though. The pumpkin ale is quite nice too, and the spices really come through in the finish and linger on the palate nicely.
