Religion is just a complex fear of death. Every major religion incorporates some form of the here after. People cling fast to the idea that their consciousness will, in some form, go on. The more real and wonderful the here after the bigger the draw of the church. They all provide an escape from nothingness. And why? For what purpose do they run so fast and far from the greatest tradition of all, to live and then die? Why deny what is so obviously true of all things, they fade and pass away?
