Earlier today my friends and I decided that we wanted to go to Chicago.

We'll leave as soon as my laundry is finished and packed.

See you all in a week.
cybele:
Take me back to Chicago
Lay my soul to rest
Where my life was free and easy
Remember me at my best.

Take me back to Chicago
Where music was all I had
I tried to be good as I could
And sometimes that made me sad.

Have fun in the Windy City, my friend!

(Did you bring your ear muffs??)

smile
qato:
of course your hair's good when you're a hermit. it's the corollary to murphy's law: it never rains when you bring an umbrella and you'll never get laid wearing hot underwear.

enjoy chicago.

I always sort of assumed that Richard Manuel (an original member of The Band) had either died of natural causes or perhaps some sort of drug overdose. I learned today that infact, he hung himself. Suicide is never a pleasant thing, but this news has cast a lingering pall over my day. What a rotten way for a good guy to go out. Oh well...maybe...

Yes, I received your lovely email, dear boy!

So much on my plate as of late (holidays, etc.), that I have had very little time to keep up with my correspondence. Apologies!

Hope you had a pleasant New Year's Eve. Was it a sybarite's delight??

Hah hah ha, how lucky we were,
We hit the cat houses and we sampled their wares,
We got as drunk as a couple of szars.
last night I swallowed my lucky star...
judas:
yes, love love love that 'down by the river'. also, it happens to be my favourite neil young song.

as for things to do, give me a holler next time you're in st. cloud. there's nothing to do there, but there's always something to do in minneapolis, which is where i live.
saeta:
thanks for the empathy. you like the pogues, dostoyevsky and you break into houses... you sound like a good man.

So it figures. The Pogues are having several reunioin shows, and suddenly I can't get any hours at work plus my credit card goes missing. Well, they'll sell out their tickets the day I get some cash. Mark my words, that's how it'll happen. Oh, mind you, it'll also be the same day that Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds get added to the bill...

oh god, may i stow away in your suitcase to neverland ranch? i adore gender benders.

in fascistan we'll have orthodontists that make straight teeth crooked.

i mailed out your fascistan brochures but as our postal system is utterly corrupt, you'll probably never receive them.

I think (and I am probably wrong) that Boxing Day was named because all the rich and middle-class people would box up what they didn`t need after Christmas and give it to the poor. But now it just means that all the stores have huge sales and everyone goes shopping. Not just on the 26th anymore either, but for the whole week after. I cannot believe you don't have this in the USA? You must!

Lately I've been thinking about buying a rack of tubular bells. They're queerly hard to find, especially if you're just looking for a used rack or something that's reasonably priced. Even e-bay has nothing. Nothing!

Who remembers the Nintendo Virtual-Boy?
noir:
I'm leaving the country, so I have to get rid of my stuff anyway. No one wants to buy any though.

I've been MIA for a long bit. I keep checking in, but lately I haven't had a whole lot to say. Not that I haven't been doing alot, but rather I've just not been my usual talkative self. This whole unrequited love thing has me forlorn and exhausted.

Regaurdless, I've had a more than decent birthday. I got to stay in and watch old cowboy...

Hey, he'd pay out if he was on your tree. The ornament that keeps on giving.

Unrequited love sucks frown I'm sorry you're going through it. Still it makes you jaded and more cynical at the other end, which is always a good thing right?

I've really been in a doom metal/sludge metal/stoner rock mood lately.

Anyone know of any good bands in the vien of Sleep, Electric Wizard, Swans, or Swallow the Sun?

I got in the mood for some mac n/ cheese and a good cry, so I put some Kraft on the stove, and popped in disk one of season four of Dawsons Creek.

I forgot just how much I hate seeing Joey and Pacey together. C'mon Joe...Dawson!!!! Oh that's right, they don't end up together anyhow. Blah! Kill me.

SO last night I had this dream where I was hanging out in downtown Wakefield, this nearby and very quaint little town, however in my dream it was filled with tons and tons of tall redbrick apartment complexes...like maybe twentyfive flights but only like a couple rooms deep. andyhow, I was in a shop somewhere when I hear this weird wailing...

Thanks for the comment about my set and for adding me to your favorites!
