I just bought a house!
I've been looking around with a buddy of mine in the downtown Phoenix area. I'm a big fan of being able to ride the Light Rail when it starts running in December and the area just has a great feel. I've been hanging out a lot down there and I've found some great places to eat like Fez, Switch, Fate, Coronado Cafe and Chevronte. Everyone seems really laid back and cool - totally different from Scottsdale.
Long story short, my friend and I found a great realtor about a week ago, checked out like 15 different houses and condos with her and this house was EXACTLY what I wanted. The whole thing has been recently remodeled - they went all out - and I love it. It even has an attached guest house I can rent out to another friend of mine! Sweet! They accepted the offer this morning but there's still a lot of stuff that needs to get taken care of in the next month. If all goes well I get the keys on June 19th. Wish me luck!!!
On another note, I had the worst date ever in my life last weekend. I won't bore you with the details... but I would just like to mention one more time that dating sucks!
