Have you ever had one of those old school showers? You know, the one with the separate hot and cold valves? The one that you have to balance just right or else the water is either freezing cold or hot as hell? That is my shower. An almost unattainable perfect medium squeezed between two polar opposites. That also seems to be how my life has gone lately. Things have been either really, really good or really shitty... and it appears that I am coming out of another shitty phase and back to my "happy place," so to speak. The "happy place" being that Monday is my birthday (the big 26).
I have a history of crazy birthdays... I kind of make a big deal out of it. I think that everyone should have one extra reason to go crazy every year. This should be a long weekend of great friends, good food and lots of craziness. I'm going to see Jimmy Eat World on Friday night at the Mesa Arts Center with a bunch of friends. I grew up listening to Jimmy and I can't wait to see them again! We are then meeting up with a group of girls one of which whose birthday is also this weekend. Saturday we will be cooking up lots of Chinese food and homemade egg rolls - quite possibly the best food EVER
at the house. This will be followed by lots of drinking in random Scottsdale bars. Sunday I will probably do it ALL over again - including re-heating egg rolls from the night before. This time with a whole other group of friends. I then took Monday off to re-hydrate and try to stop shaking from AWS - Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome. It's what Irish people get instead of being hung over. We just kind of vibrate a little when all the alcohol leaves our system after a 3 day bender. I don't know if it's a medical condition but it should be. Anyhoo, I will post some pictures when it's all over. I hope everyone has a good weekend as well!!!
