I picked up a second job working at a little wine shop close to my house! It means that sometimes I end up working from 7:30am at the day job, head straight to the wine shop and then stay until 10:30... but what the hell - it's fucking fun and I get paid to taste wine and eat cool food with interesting people... and I get a discount. The nightly tastings I work usually mean that I try about 5 wines, hang out, talk about the wine, make lots of contacts in the industry and then drink some more wine. It just might be the coolest job I can find right now... I'm stoked. Hopefully this will turn into something full-time soon! I can't wait! Good times. I am now officially tired as hell and I'm drinking the remaining half bottle of a 2002 Iron Stone Reserve Meritage I was able to take home... it's quite tasty. Anyone want to come over and help me drink the the rest of the bottle of Reserve Chardonnay?!?!
