It's over.
I've arrived back home after 28 plus hours either travelling or in transit. The flights were ok and I was sat next to a really sweet elderly couple on the way back from LAX, who looked after me and insisted in fattening me up by passing all the sweets and chocolate my way.
So I'm suffering from jet lagg I suppose, it's 5:03am and I had tried my hardest to get past it by not sleeping on a couple of the long flights.
`my folks had made a real effort to welcome me back with tonnes of balloons and all the artwork I sent home hanging on the walls. But tomorrow will be a day of packing and sorting as on friday I'm moving into my new house....hopefully. Then that night I'm playing catch up with a few of my closest mates. Then saturday I'm playing drinking with one of your best boys who i'll try and keep up drinking with and then it'll end in disater...thats always a good game.
Things I'll miss about being away
1. getting up on anyday looking out of my window and deciding whether to go snowbaording that day.
2. spending time with my sister
3. being free to do whatever I wanted and not being tied down to anything
4.meeting new people
5.the stunning scenery, well i can't complain I suppose it's not like Oxford is a ugly place.
6. drinking good cheap local wine.
7. eating well and good healthy cheap food.
8.probably now not being able to have as much time to read or draw
Things I'm pleased to be back for
1. My family friends and dog
2. I do love england and my home
3. drinking a cloudy cider
4.not being in the middle of nowhere
5.the internet not costing me loads
6. moving into a house on my own for a bit (for you americans reading this, houses are way to expensive for a 22 year old to get to live on her own.) so i'm really privilidged.
The best thing about travelling is that I learnt a lot not just about other cultures and stuff I probably would never have known about if I hadn't stepped out of my front door and comfort zone. But i learnt so much about myself and regrets I had been thinking about and my life that was a bit messy has given me time to think and be grateful and so happy that I am who I am, I've done what I've done and that I'm surrounded be the people I am, some of the greatest people....that was pretty gay but true.
anyway I must try and get some sleep,
how have you all been?
