I came home from work and the London girls were flopped over the furniture, perversely watching my DVD of The Office. I did my best to be a good host, offering food, drink, and a choice of entertainments, but they were all so sleepy and content. After the DVD ended, they started watching some god-awful live-action Cinderella movie. I put my foot down — if they were going to watch TV, I insisted that they watched something good. So I put Mr. Jealousy on.

Leah was at a drug meal, being wined and dined at the expense of a pharmeceutical company, and she called evey hour or so to make sure we all hadn't fallen asleep and to let us know how drunk she was.

Four of us finally left at 11 to meet Leah at our neighborhood Karaoke bar.

I sang:
The Proclaimers - I Would Walk 500 Miles
Sang this with one of our NY doctor friends. It went okay.
Britney - Hit Me Baby
Sang with Leah and the Londoners, despite the fact that it is my trademark. I tried to not be too much of a prima donna. It went well
Radiohead - Creep
Solo. Went very well. It's so hard for me to tell which songs are good karaoke, but this one is getting added to my list.

Too bad you aren't coming out tonight but I can definitely relate. I'm going to try my damnedest to keep the drinking at a minimum (I've got wuvmonki keeping my company in that regard). As for the fight thing... god, I seriously don't understand it. K2 thinks I attract weirdness - I'd have to agree with that. People just feel like they need to say or do weird shit to me when I'm around. It's an interesting sociological phenomenon - I'll bet I could get a publication out of it.
