NEWS!!!
Please welcome Marceline the Vampire Queen to the family! (if you get the reference, I adore you.)
She's about 7 weeks old now. We rescued her from a puppy mill a little over a week ago. She was in pretty bad shape, but she's a healthy happy little puppy now. She's Lab/Chow/Basenji mix. SHE HAS CLOVEN PAWS!!! look that shit up.
She's also got the chow attitude to clash with her insane cuteness. She is definitely a handful, but I absolutely love her.
WHAT ELSE??
I have a bridal-style shoot at a carousel on Sunday. I'm pretty excited about that. Mostly because I've always wanted to shoot at a carousel hehe.
I'll also be in a runway show on the 28th. Slightly nervous. Haven't done anything runway related since I was 15... makes me wish I hadn't stopped wearing heals a year ago... But it should be fun.
hmmmmmmm....
I've got my next tattoo pretty much planned out. (basically I got bored and started photoshopping like a mofo.)
It's a tribute to my dad. The words "we will move the earth" are from the song he wrote for me when I was 2. The lettering is going to be in his hand writing, and the music behind it is of course going to be from the song. The heart actually has his thumbprint on it, and it's a larger version of a necklace I never take off (how nice of the funeral home to offer jewelry with the deceased's thumbprint on them for over 300 fucking dollars. Worth it.) it also has his birthstone one it.
The leopard print isn't random either. Dad looooved leopards. The house he had when I was little had leopard border around the tops of the rooms. It was pretty rad.
the tattoo is actually going to continue around to the back. The sheet music and leopard print is going to morph into wings on my shoulder blades, and his initials will be in the middle, inside the pancreatic cancer ribbon.
This is probably going to cost over $1000, but I really don't care. It'll be nice to have so much of my dad with me all the time. And as much as dad was opposed to visible tattoos, I'm pretty sure he would see it and say "oh... well thats pretty neat... YOU SPENT HOW MUCH??"
lol love you daddy.
ON A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT NOTE!!!!!!
I've started writing a (sort of) book on prepping. (yes, I'm a prepper. If you don't know what it is, look it up yo!)
Gotta be ready for the zombie apocalypse!
It'll contain nifty stuff like how to make toilet paper and how to make generators out of random stuff.
I want a pump n seal.
I didn't even realize they still make them.
I got ridiculously excited when I found out that they do.
Something random:
My dad's side of the family are all auctioneers, so I grew up around auctions but I was never really into them.
Two days ago, I was helping them set one up, and decided that I was going to make my first auction purchase.
I ended up spending $50 and buying so much stuff that it could not all fit in the car (I'm used to having a van. RIP.)
So what all did I buy?
old WORKING record played that is combined with a radio, cassette player and cassette recorder. It also came with two old working speakers, a nice stand, and a handful of records. It also came with a canon typewriter... because we obviously were not paying attention when we were setting up the auction.
Price: $10
old motorized scooter. It doesn't work, but it won't be hard to fix... you best believe I'll be riding that fucker all over the place.
Price: $7
Gas grill that was big enough I couldn't move it on my own, in good condition, with a full tank of propane.
Price: $12.50
One of those exercise thingies that is basically just the pedals of a bike so you can sit and play Warcraft while still pretending to be active. It also came with a step stool (weird combo, I know), which I needed anyway.
Price: $6
New shovel, and two garden hoe's.
Price: $6
6 stackable storage thingies for the kitchen.
Price $2
box of 3 old working radios
Price: $2
black metal record stand one of the OTHER multiple record players in the house.
Price: $2
large rug to cover the fact that this new house needs a lot of work
Price: free (thanks, grandma!)
3 vintage tea kettles, two yellow one black... I bought them to sell but... damn they're cute.
Price: $6
2 vintage glass chip bowls with matching dip bowls that hang on the side
Price: $1
I also made $70 for working at the auction so I still came out of the day with more money than I went into it with AND got all this fucking awesome stuff.
Auctions... are definitely... my thing.
I wish my van would still run though :/
Anyway.
Thats that.
My friend, Zephyr has a new set up that you should TOTALLY check out, because its FUCKING AMAZING!
Give her lots of love
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go farm embersilk cloth in Tol Borad.
