So, I've been a way most of this week in Dublin. Its one of, if not my favourite cities in the world. I was glad to be back there. I saw so much that I missed out on last time. Drank ridiculous amounts of Guinness and was a total tourist for a few days. Took in a US band called Oxes at a cool club called The Voodoo Lounge. It was so dark in there I could see jack shit but I loved the atmosphere. Band were okay, not amazing but enjoyable. I think they wanted to be Karma to Burn.
Once again I noticed how every other girl in Ireland is gorgeous. Must be something in the water.
Last Sunday was the Kharma DVD premiere too. It was a good night, got talking to some cool girls from a band I saw in London last year, The Suffrajets. Was sorry to hear they'd split...sort of...they were pretty damn intense live. But they have a new band so I'll be looking to check them out too.
Picked up the Ramones Raw DVD in Birmingham on my way back through yesterday. Haven't had a decent chance to watch it all yet but I'm working through it slowly. I love the packaging I don't want to touch it for fear of putting finger marks on it!
Nearly finished Rollins' Broken Summers too and got a free copy of Lolita with the paper last week. So think I'll read that next, I looked over a few pages and it pulled me in, seems pretty well written and I have the urge to read a classic. Bit of culture won't do me any harm! Got to get round to finishing off the WM3 book Devil's Knot too. I dunno when I got into reading multiple books simultaneously! Must be auni thing!
