as if i didn't love the rain enough already. added to my list is that rain means getting to leave work early. because who golfs during a torrential downpour?

7 down, 0 to go; yay for having 4 of the next 5 days off!

we have 3 iraqis in the kitchen. and i got to work with all 3 of them today. it feels kinda weird, they jibber away in arabic all day long, and i'm left to wonder if they're plotting to go jihad all over my ass...

well, all my monitor needed was a couple new capacitors. $5 for the pair of them. now, all i gotta do is figure out how to test for and replace them myself so i don't have to pay the other $60 for labour in the future.

my monitor died. i'd been trying to turn it on since yesterday. i would hear a click, the power light would go on, the screen would go on for half a second, then it would go black and the power light would go out. pause one second and repeat.

i know this is going to sound snobbish, but a crt is hard to get used...

got the final present tally now. at my dad's, i got:
- outlaw star box set
- 4.0 megapixel digicam
- trivial pursuit - the 90's edition
- assorted books and nick-nacks... and lots of them...

so, i didn't get a deed to a house, keys to a new car, a REAL check for $1 million...

this morning was weird... at 7:15, i roll over and start to sit myself up to get my ass out of bed. as soon as i sit up, i get banging on my door and told that it's 5 after 8. i look at the clock, and sure enough, it's now 8:05. 50 mins just disappeared...

hmmm.... maybe if i make a total ass of myself on the boards, i'll get some comments in my journal... sure they'll only be curses, death threats, and otherwise negative remarks, but it would still be more than i got right now... =p
