(Warning: this response will derail this journal from the very entertaining "internet donkey punch" discussion. Please skip ahead to when the funny resumes)
Ooof...sorry to hear about the whole hero to zero dampening of your entertainment options. How long is the staying with the parents supposed to last?
And I feel compelled to encourage you to at least skimming some self-help books...and not just because it's a nice visual to contemplate on my end, no sir. Nope. Just trying to help make you a happy pony.
"i could give you some excellent spooky voodoo madame Sosostris rationalizational reasons, but maybe i should respect your connubial bliss-to-be?"
How can I resist spooky voodoo rationalization?
And the Brooklyn DMV was on some level a disappointment, since I was all geared up for hours and hours of waiting, and the whole process took less than 45 minutes. It was harder to find the damn place than it was to actually get a state ID.
"is there an application and a screening, or does one just declare their intentions via ancient indian smoke signal? i mean, howza howza HELLOOO. heehee."
Since I assumed that said request would meet with nothing but awkward silence, I really didn't plan ahead to the application and screening stages.
Even if you're just motivated by boredom and pity, I'd be a moron to reject your indian smoke signals (what is the smoke signal for "howza howza" anyway?), so I wouldn't worry too much.
(and now we return to "Punch Donkey Internet", already in progress)
