I went to the Detroit Erotica Ball last night. It was very interesting. The bands were poor, although one was good and the fashion show ranged from great (Ivy's Custom Corsetry) to knitted doilies on women finger painted by fifth graders. Overall, it was a great time. I got to see two women fingering each other on top of a table, a blowjob under the table, and two couples having sex in the other room... so lots of fun to indulge my inner voyeur. The only down side was not bringing a date to indulge in some added joy of my own... still, many more positive than negatives out of it. Perhaps next year, if I make it.
It does suck being nerve deaf though... I could hardly hear anybody all night. The bands were way too loud for the room. Horrible echos off of the cement walls and ceiling. Several years of being a theater geek working sound and lighting for major venues makes me nit pick things like that.

I know what you mean about sound though - once you've worked with VDOSC and Myer and other arrays staright up loudspeakers just don't cut it.
Sounds like a good time, though. Buy anything, or just window shopping?
The only thing I got was a replacement set of leather cuffs. My former slave has my good set and collar...
