Thanks for the encouragement from everyone, I really do appreciate it.
It has been somewhat difficult, this last week, slipping into a new life. One where comforts I thought I had secured vanished, and fears I had thought I had vanquished reappear. Such is the beat and strum of life, I suppose.
But, the divorce process is officially started. Though I have to pay for it ( at least the filing fees), I am comforted by the fact that, because of who I am, I have the free help from a rather well known lawyer, who has assured me that everything will go smoothly.
An odd fact, really, that when things are the worst, you somehow get the help and encouragement from the best.
And, as a rather unrelated observation, Sundays in Oregon are really rather depressing affairs.
