I'm sure that at least some of you have had the question in your mind as to where I have been. I'm sure that most of you watch the news and have made some assumsions of your own as to what I have been doing. The truth is as some of you may have guessed I have been searching days on end for missing soldiers.

I can't really grasp let alone convey how I feel about some of the things I've seen, been through and had to do. I look at the faces of these missing soldiers and I can't imagine what they must have gone through, or what their families have had to go through. I see them, one as young as 19 another as old as I am, and I think about the restless nights on a PZ waiting for the bird to take us to our next target objective. I think of the horribly hot days and long hard miles through flooded fields and hard packed dirt. I think of the 3 to 5 hours sleep I get in-between my 20 hour days and I still can't help but think if we searched another hour. I came in after a five day op searching for these kids. I see the faces of my own soldiers and of my friends and I know how exhausted and drained they are. We all know every single second we spent out there looking was worth it. And though I cannot doubt the time spent, I am beginning to question the reasons we are all here to begin with. I'm tired of being afraid that everything I see could be a bomb and I'm tired of not being the Husband, Father, Friend and Son that I think I should be. Sometimes, especially times like these, I just don't know what I'm doing anymore
