The good thing about Morrocco is that we don't need to understand it..........did you go to the Fez Medina? Out of this land, awesome.......
dinah:
crikey, I'm still so jealous. But a holiday phone call from your lovely face would be one of the best presents ever.

England for Christmas is a bust, something abourt my cousin's cousin with MS. I'm quite dissapointed, much more than I expected to be.

When push comes to shove I am a family boy and I've never been alone for Christmas before, and it makes me feel sad alone and far away. Im also still dealing with my rudimentry French, I will not be hired for...

sorry, hon. when you're used to family being away can really stink. go out drinking, at least then you'll have fun! smile
scheisskopf:
Is this your first time working as a plumber? Is that something you can just pick up and jump into? Either way, this will be good for the memoirs.

Marseille, huh? Sounds cool as well.

And thanks for the birthday wishes. I needed, as you probably surmised from reading the extremely negative pre-birthday entry.

So anyway, I will call soon. In the meantime, take care of yourself and have fun, young man.

Yes. Yes. And yes. Tres jealous. I am so happy you posted all those photos, though. It brings back lots of fond memories. I hope your trip continues to be amazing! Find a good culinary school for me, I think that is what I want to do next...
bunny:
Yup. Playing acoustic this time around. I am using my ex-boyfs ex-grilfs guitar at the mo'. One day I might actually get my own guitar and another camera...

I am no longer a vegetarian. However, I am only eating fish and grass-fed beef, (in desperate need of the iron). I wanted to go to school just to incorporate what I have learned nutrition-wise into daily life. The thing that scares me about jumping into FS is that I am a terribly SLOW cook/prep.

Guess what?

Hey man, not too shabby.

Drunken Halloween, now "cleansing", being on the wagon, etc. Lots of work. Friend dying quickly.

Everything else is routine, and therefore ok, I suppose.

Can't wait to see the pics. Anything of particular interest happening over there?
scheisskopf:
Yeah, shit... especially as a cook, I would imagine. Sorry, I'm not making fun, it's just that I lived there, and I can only imagine.

Sorry, by the way, I wasn't able to follow through. Things have gotten pretty tight around here as well.

Give em hell!

That looks like fun! It seems better than a bunch of kids begging for candy.
I am also shooting for 3,000-4,000 on the first day....2,400 and I still have a few hours left.
Bonne chance avec cela, mon ami!

I'm about ready to explode.

I want to start writing now, but I am being patient. The desire to tell this story is dangerously obsessive. I want to be rid of this imbedded barb that I have been carrying for all these years. I've been sleepless, my mind writing the prose across the chalkboard inside my head, simple, honest prose. I am an American writer,...

I tried endlessly to find a video of this song, but to no avail...

Flipped into the wind
Like the ashes of her cigarette
He got scattered thrown on the breeze
As he tried to forget
He lost all his heat
And his heart never will be the same
He got lighter than air
But he'll only come down in the rain

Strung out and...

Plotting what? Pirating adventures? A course across the Aegean?

What's the song.

Next- hunkering down, writing, working , avoiding complications.

This has nothing to do with the rest of the blog, but I am happy, calm and content. The love and support I have found in this country is just astounding and I am infinitly grateful. I haven't been so at ease in recent memory. Thank you. You know who you are.

Now, on to buisness!

The 60's.

The twentieth century has had it's fair...

That family reunion is fantastic stuff. Reminds of my Mom's family. They are from Kentucky.

I've been back nine days and had fried chicken four times. And lots of sweet tea. I never even liked sweet tea before.

France is the place, huh?
neakylikeaninja:
Sounds amazing.
And, the French don't know about pumpkin pie?? You have to teach them, then. They don't know what they're missing!!
