Right now i'm grappling with a depressing thought, there is nothing really new and really interesting in the world. Maybe we are just lower primates with expensive toys. Everything, government, science even art all comes down three things, food, fucking and power/social status.

As much as I would like to think that it's not true, that I'm different, an artist I'm ultimately led to one conclusion. The artisitc condition is almost always caused by the same thing, lonlieness, detachment from the larger social group. So we being more complex than a macaque, break apart and create our own, new social group, where we are loved for our creations. Is it better? Yes, infinitely better, but as the scientist in me always argues, we are a part of the natural world, a clever animal, but still an animal.

The beautiful thing is, despiste the murky truth, we have the power to create our own, new truth through our view of the world. This alone makes life worthwhile.

The purpose of humanity is to become living art... to remember...
