For real. I'm not down with about seventy percent of what's going on in the world at large. I'm not down with hate and bigotry of any kind unless it's hate towards bigots, then I'm down. People claim they're for love and peace and all that, but how many are really? Even those people you know quite well in your life, how many really are...

I think once people begin to look beyond the music it just crushes bands. Politics, religion, charity causes, locations they won't play, sex and drug preferences. Just let bands do what they do best, play music. Leave the rest out of it.

@arroezze in a perfect world that would be the case I'm sure.  However as anything, art is just as subject to persecution as anything else tangible and sometimes intangible in the world.  Hell I make music (quite shitty music comparatively) and it comes with all sorts of pressures from exterior forces making you feel that you have to be a certain way and make a certain style of music with the "correct message" but that's all bullshit we could do without.  Also, I feel that the controversies surrounding certain artists or their music can validate them further in the eyes of some if not almost all.  I don't think it crushes bands honestly.  I still love all of them despite the noise of what has happened in the background.  It's certainly a choice to reject a band or band member for their truly disgusting behaviors but those that aren't being absolute scum bags get too much of a bad rap for literally nothing.  I guess the short answer is, I see what you're saying but I can't fully agree my friend knowing what I know.

Hopefully tonight I'll be around but we'll see at this point. The weekend was alright but between a doctor's appointment later and working on music for others and myself, I may be spread a little thin for a few days. Apologies with anyone I was talking with on site or off site. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow will afford me more time.

😘 no worries about me, you take care of you first (but I do always look forward to your comments and posts)
silentobjectorx:
@bookcouple I appreciate all of what you just said honey but I need to get back into being active on site real soon here lol.  The real world problems are just a hindrance at this point.  I really don't want to deal with any of the shit currently lol.  Much love and respect as always though, you're awesome hon :)

So John Coltrane is one of the best musicians to ever live and play in the minds of almost any musician in any genre of music as well as just fans of music in general. Of course, John Coltrane was a jazz musician and he was one of the pioneers of other worldly, outside the box of convention (while still applying rules of convention though!)...
