If you ever get a chance to take a class with Jennifer Carpentier, DO IT. It doesn't matter what the class is. Just take it. She is the best English teacher I've ever had. I had her for Brit Lit II and then took her Women in Lit class the next semester. She's absolutely amazing, mostly because she's fairly young and doesn't have any kind of feminist agenda, like most of the female English profs.
I have Dupuis for Renaissance Lit, Dykstra for Studies in Verse, and "Staff" for Advanced Fiction Writing. I've heard good things about Dykstra, but I'm not familiar with Dupuis. "Staff" is a toss-up.
