Seriously - this "friends threads" thing is pretty cool. I was pitching a fit a week or so ago about how aggravating the boards could be. This seems to be the answer - more freewheeling than groups but still a bit more secluded. Excellent...
Today, I ventured up to Bucktown. I'm watching my advisor's apartment over the summer. It's all cushy. So, I'll probably be commuting up north most days, and doing work there. He has cable, a big old flat screen TV, a grill, wireless internet, and central air. It's swanky. He's also letting me use his car (and not just in the city - for road trips and the whole deal)!
Indeed. The summer could be pleasing ... most pleasing....
It's really gorgeous out. We're spending the night in, doing a little work, and I love feeling the breeze out of the window. Good times. Summer is here.

well, I'm more of a qualitativist than a quantitativist. I can do the math and run the numbers, but I prefer case studies and other similar sorts of things rather than computing z-scores or whatever. I have a lot of fundamental issues with quantifying human behavior. Just a thing of mine, I suppose.
