oh my my oh hell yes.
don't take this the wrong way, i'm all for people lovin people. I love to give gifts, particularly when i feel it's deserved. I like birthdays. over all i sort of genuinely like making people happy. if it takes materialism, and the dependent consumerism to do it, then fucking fine. Yahoo, i'm all in.
But Fuck Christmas. Fuck it for what it has become in this wayward country. Fuck it hard, mean, and with a resoundingly capital F. Fuck pompous evil bastards, their holier than thou attitudes and the child they rode in on. Fuck them all in the Eye, drink wine from their skulls, kill everyone they every loved , knew, or received mail from. Secondarily, Fuck people with zero crisis management skills, and who happen to run businesses, despite the lack of skill, just well enough to not cough up fiscal black death and keel over as it probably should. Not that i don't support the little guys, just pisses me off all to hell and halfway home that they simply, ubiquitously, do not have their shit together. Furthermore FUCK "the customer is always right" this is not true, is blatantly unfair, biased, sycophantic and evil. Fuck that some people believe in it with a fervor best served in the military and the church, wherein these individuals typically do not excel. Fuck them, unkind. That simple phrase is as evil as monarchy, and slavery, but on such a small scale as to be generally accepted and willfully reproduced, like a social virus, by self serving unadulterated asshats. real people, genuine people, even mean bitchy and insipid people ought not to choose a six week period of winter to be nice, but should do this all year round. For fucks sake, it isn't hard. If i can do it, it can't be hard. Fuck Christmas. not as it should be, not sa it could have been, but as it fucking is, as the masses use it and because goddamnit, i said so. Incidentally, i also recommend fucking a nativity scene, just to mess with em, in the head like, and because Christian stylings have been draped over pagan ritualistic celebrations for too long.

thanks i'll be here all week don't forget to tip your waitress. technically i'm not goin to be here at all, but "Away from my computer" and in fact in a different time zone from my computer. I'm going to celebrate Xmas in california, with family and friends, mostly because by now ( as witnessed above) i need a change of pace, a little sun, and some friendly faces. I'm really quite stoked, as i love to travel, wish i could do more, and really like the idea of sleeping above ground for a day or two. I'm bringing my sunglasses, and that makes me happy. I'm going to drink with friends, and that makes me happy. I'm even (strangely enough) happy about seeing family, and even happy about seeing my ex gf.

on a seriously sobering note: One of my best, longest lasting and dearest friends has been diagnosed with precancerous cervical dysplasia. early detection, as they say. point being, love those whom you hold dear for you may never know when they will be gone. Love them and make them know it, love them happy, love them sad, love them sick or healthy. Most of all, let them know of your love, do not hide it, for when they are gone, it is in fact too late to tell them.

Indeed, life is too short and we need to take the time to appreciate that fact, well and truly. Life is a short trip, and after getting the diagnosis that let me know that both my mother and I are terminally ill, it was a rude awakening on how short our spans really are. I want forever, but for the moment I will just take today.
May both of our holidays be shiny and bright. Something tells me we both could use a bit of a miracle.
