Itch, itch, itch. Sometimes my arm itches like mad. Fortunately it usually happens just when it's time to apply a new, thin layer of goo. This makes it stop for a while.
This morning I saw three purple finches at my birdbath - a male and two females. They all flew in together, and then they all flew off. I think they're in a three-way relationship. I've seen this happen with mallard ducks, but usually with two males and a female. Dirty birds.
My thing at UPS is today. I stumbled across an FAQ on their website that stated that persons touring the facilities aren't to wear jewelry - rings, necklaces, earrings. They made no mention of this in any of the material they sent me. The earrings are no problem, they come out easily. My eyebrow, however, is another story.
I realized that I've had it for three and a half years, and have not had it out once. I tried yesterday. The barbell has a ball at one end that unscrews. It's on tight. I won't be able to get it off without a couple pairs of pliers and some professional assistance. I don't trust the steadiness of my hands to do it myself.
Since they didn't inform me of the policy themselves, I'm going to pretend I don't know of it. If they make an issue of it, I'll explain that there isn't much I can do about it. I'll put a bandage over it or something.
I realize it's all probably a safety thing; they don't want people getting caught in machinery and whatnot. Frankly, if my head is so close to any machinery that it can rip my eyebrow ring or earrings out, I've got other problems to worry about. Like the machine eating my entire head.
I hope everyone has a great day!
________
UPDATE: So I've never been one to give up on something; I just got out some pliers and loosened the ball on my barbell myself, made sure the barbell comes out, and that I can get it back in. No big deal.
I'll take it out for the interview process, I suppose, and if I get the job I'll just wear it whether they like it or not. Or I'll make or buy a retainer.

Dirty birds.
i heart this phrase.
I'll put a bandage over it or something.
they'll probably be cool with you doing that. or maybe they won't say a thing to you about it. like sometimes i go to a department store, and i head for the dressing room with 7 things to try on, and there will be a sign at the entrance that says "Only 5 Items Allowed in Dressing Room" and i'll look at the attendant, and she'll say "go on in."

don't let ANY machines eat your head!
well go you, with your bad self on that update! rockin' it!
and thanks for the sweet comment today. he he he.
As for booby traps, I'm not really a mastermind. I'll get someone else to think of something.
