It's been a slow couple of days, so I don't have a whole lot to say.

I'm waiting to hear back from the guys at The Ink Lab on time and cost estimates for my next piece. I'm so impatient. I'll probably end up just going down there on Friday or Saturday.

Other than that, not a whole lot going on. I have to find a time to go see War of the Worlds. So many movies I have to see...

That reminds me: has anyone seen the trailer for Tim Burton's Corpse Bride? It looks really good. And we have to wait until September!

Maybe I'll go to Best Buy and Barnes and Noble today. I need something to do. Video games and books would do the trick. Or maybe I'll just watch some movies.

It takes so much effort to raise the motivation to leave the house.

I need a job.

Happy Thursday everyone!

I've always wondered why people always write sci-fi/fantasy, together, just like that. The two genres really have very little in common. Maybe because they're both considered nerdy?

i guess specifically i do because i have worked at bookstores for over six years and seen which books are classified specifically as sci-fi and which as fantasy, and never gave a fig about any of them until i read Stephenson. and the thing about Stephenson, in my opinion, is that he fits well in both categories. as well as Historical Fiction, actually.

but i can see that J.R.R. Tolkein in specifically fantasy. i would imagine that i'll be mostly drawn to Fantasy more than Sci Fi, because the other stuff i have liked is young adult novels, lots of stuff in the Magical Realism genre, and stuff involving witches and magic.

I tried the far away thing, and it didn't work either. None of it ever works, so my new plan is to try the nothing thing, which I've never managed to pull off, but I think I might be able to this time.
