I've been loving you too long to stop now.
You were tired, and you want to be free.
My love is growing stronger,
As you become a habit to me.
Otis was the man.
Don't you love how websites that claim to have the lyrics to songs all post the same erroneous lyrics? For example:
There were time and you want to be free
My love is growing stronger, as you become a haven to me [sic].
Isn't that dreadful? Don't people actually listen to songs? It's not the the words are mumbled or anything.
I can't stand shoddy workmanship. Don't these lyrics people take any pride in their work? I propose that they hate music, and are trying to destroy it through the mis-transcribing of lyrics. Damn philistines.
I think it starts with one, and then all the rest copy the wrong website, and replicate the mistakes. It's like a bloody virus. Maybe I'll create a counter-website. I'll be the Jesuit of internet lyrics databases.
I finally wrote my resume yesterday, after having it hanging over my head for a week or so. It was all I could do to engage in that much self-promotion and horn tooting.
Fry: Wait! I'm usually the first guy to toot my own lower horn -
Bender: (shouting) I'll say!
Fry: But in this case I just don't think it'll do any good.
Bender: (shouting) That's what she said!
Geez, that was a hillarious episode.
But anyway, about the resume. I got it out to a few places, and hopefully I'll hear something back.
I went to bed at 11:30 last night. Was up again at 3:00. I hate not being able to sleep. The only thing to do in that situation is to get up and do something until I feel tired again. Partly, I'd been in a discussion with someone about the legal system on one of the boards, and logic and arguments were running through my head. So I wrote them down and published them. Then I read for an hour and a half. Could finally sleep at 5 or so. Now up again at 8.
I need to find something to do that leaves me exhausted every night. Maybe I'll take up late night walks again.
Have a good day, everyone!

Okay, it's a deal. And if I'm still a file clerk in a few years, you are in charge of the serious ass-kicking I'll deserve for that.
