I can't help but feel that she and Epsilon Dog are gone from the novel of my life forever. Granted, it shouldn't make any difference whether she's 300 miles away or 800, but I guess it's not the distance.
It's new people, new places. I can't deny her any of that, though; I'm not that kind of guy. Yet I still feel that I'll no longer be needed. I'll be forgotten.
So, the question remains: gone forever, or will she make a dramatic reappearance in some later chapter?

I'm going to vote for dramatic reappearance, but that's only because I don't like to think about people being gone forever.
