Sorry I didn't update yesterday. My parents were visiting, and I feel it is bad form to be spending time on the computer when they come here to visit. I am sure you agree.

---

Now some of you may have noticed that Norwegians rearly have anything positive to say about Sweden. This is because of our history. Sweden had a nasty habit of invading...

oh....I thought computers were female because "back in the day" most computer geeks were male and had some sort of sexual fantasy thing going on.... Shows what I know. (Then again, I've seen more than one group of guys giggle hysterically over typing dirty words into a voice program--maybe I just hang out with the wrong people)

btw--kitty's name is Ronin.

This just in:
Syrians have set fire to the Norwegian and Danish embassies in Damascus to protest at the publication of newspaper cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.
Angry protesters attacked the Norwegian mission after storming the Danish site amid chants of "God is great".
The cartoons have sparked Muslim outrage across the world, following their publication in a Danish newspaper and reprinting in other European...

No kidding Blasphemy is not tolerated even with freedom of the press there is limits of what can and cannot be said. to say or imply that Mahammed is a terrorist and islam is a terrorist religion is dead wrong, to insult islamics is dead wrong. to insult anyone is dead wrong. but to punish a country for the acts of a few is also wrong. Go after the artist and publishers not the embassies. mad i Know they are mad, who wouldn't be? but going after the wrong people just renforces the negitive images. frown

Life is hard, and then you die.

Some very stupid people in Europe has printed some very insulting drawings of the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH).
I am sad to report that the second paper who printed it was the Norwegian magazine Magazinet. Magazinet is in no way interested in freedom of speach. They just did it to insult our Muslim Cousins.
Personaly I am against freedom...

Coretta Scott King died Tuesday, at the age of 78. Thus the fight against race discrimination in the USA has lost another one of its great heroes.
After the murder of the Nobel Peace Price Winner Dr. Martin Luther King in 1968, Coretta took on a lot of his tasks, and were after a time seen as one of the most influencial American Blacks. As...

About the State of the Union address:
Apart from not being able to pronounce "nuclear", is seems like Bush has woken up and smelled the fumes when it comes to polution. I want to belive that this is more than words:
"America is addicted to oil, which is often imported from unstable parts of the world.
The best way to break this addiction is through...

Yesterday I was ranting and raving about the Finish elections. I have now found out that there's a very good reason for it. So with apologies to my Finish friends, here it is:
The thing is that Finish representatives 15th of February 1362 for the first time participated in the Swedish Royal elections. Royal elections? I hear you cry. Yes, in the old days the...

Now everybody who knows anything about the Nordic Countrys (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia) knows that it is very cold here in the winter. That is why we all hold our elections in the summer or early autumn, when the weather usually is such that we can have people on the streets, handing out pamflets and stuff, and hold outdoors meetings....

I was going to write something cool, witty and intellegent about Mozart today, to mark his 250th birthday. But what can I possibly say about him that hasn't been said better before? So I'll just name my top 3 favourite Mozart works:
1. Requiem
2. Don Giovanni
3. Grand Mass in D-minor
What are yours?

Oh how I hate going out in the sun!
You may have noticed to the left that I give my occupation as "Vampire" That's not just a joke. No I'm not undead. I eat garlic and wear a crucifix.
But when I go out in the sun my skin dries out, shrinks and cracks, causing bleeding and skin falling off in flakes.
No I don't...

that totally cheered me up as well,I love randomly learning about things you would never have normally expected to find interesting smile
That is a really shitty situation, I feel so guilty sometimes because although I have truly disastrous luck with relationships, I have my freinds and family around me and are always there to pick up the peices, it's always things like this that make you stand back and appreciate their awesomeness blush biggrin kiss
