Ugh, when is enough enough?

When is it not "tattling" and just part of your job to tell your general manager the stupid shit your managment under him is doing?

I know I've been lectured by them for feeling like a tattle tale when it's my job as a supervisor to alert managment to certain things, and I don't want to be the cause of any more people getting fired... but I'm sick of the managment being inept.

The only managers I trust are an old one from when we opened, who drives me crazy but I respect.... and the general manager. I already went to him about my fellow supervisors, I don't know how easy it would be for me to go to him about the managment. They're driving me up the wall. They're two-faced. They want us to be happy and positive but nothing is ever good enough. My GM mentioned how one manager demands respect, but I don't respect her because she's 34 year old mother who takes smoke breaks with a 16 year old co-worker of mine (that is unprofessional and bad on so many levels to me)... I can't stop the girl from smoking, but my manager should not let her bum cigarettes.

One manager lectures me on not being positive, then always is saying negative things. I also can never get him to listen and I don't trust him, I always feel like he's criticizing me, etc.

One manager makes me do all the work in promotions meetings, but he gets all the credit. He's honestly asked a friend of mine who is applying to be supervisor and happens to be a woman if we'd gang up on the other supervisors (not because we're friends, it's because she'd be another female supervisor so it'd be two "ganging up" on 4 (now 5) male supervisors... that just disgusted me that he'd honestly ask that.

One manager just isn't good as a manager.

Both managers go and party with the employees at a supervisor's house (where these kids are getting drunk and such... I can't stop the others from doing that, I don't really care to... but as managment they shouldn't be doing that). I know if I told that's one of the reasons I don't respect them then they could lose their job and I would alienate myself from my co-workers!.

I don't even feel like going into it all, I just wish I knew what to do.

I guess I just need more confidence in these matters.
