Sorry guys for the lack of comments and replies to your entries....
I have had company for most of the day.
I'm trying to be an attentive host!
I think i'm doing pretty good so far.....

not hard to do, considering the fact that she is beautiful, intelligent, and wonderful company.

And we are all pretty drunk biggrin
Talk to you all soon...

I just haven't watched many of her films yet. There are odd holes in my movie viewing life...

I still have a bunch of audio tapes I will never listen to. Hard to let the past go sometimes. wink

My parents live in town, so we'll be spending it with them, my brother, and my cousin (the only of our extended family that lives out West). What about you two?

And good luck with the shopping. We're doing the easy stocking shopping tonight.

No, I never saw it. I totally love Shane McGowan. He's a bit of a tragic figure though. I'm afraid he's turning into just an old Irish drunk. makes me a bit sad.

Today at the hospital, the doctors worked on a 12 wk old puppy that had ingested a small bag of heroin eeek

The puppy is doing fine at the moment.
Surprise, Surprise.....the owner resides in my lovely city of Brockton.

Years ago, when i lived in N.Y.C, i was working at a "Gentlemens club" ( a.k.a , fancy name for overpriced strip club with dress code...

Nosey's ok!!
She is going with her Dad, who likes to occasionally take her on trips. Him and Mom divorced for 20 something years, it is his way of getting quality time. And I just plain wasn't invited.
I guess I could have bought a ticket and gone with, but it is not the trip that she and I would have together- he is going to want to do things with her that she and I would never dream of doing (like theatre- he is a theatre maniac- relates to the world, literally, in theatre language) so we will go together another tme. I'm still jealous.

And I'm with you on this seeing ourselves through ther people. I really don't have any idea how much is due to age- while I lament the lack of a socal scene, if I'm honest, most times I'd raher not be social. Can't have it both ways, now can I?
Internally, i still feel 26- but I catch mself with attitudes and saying things I would NEVER have at 26. And again, without external feedback, who knows which is the real one?

And I am indeed most fortunate in my wife. She is my one true best friend in the whole world.

Where in the City did you live? I grew up in Stamford and spent a ton of time in and around the Village. I miss those days, I dig Boston, but it isn't quite the same.

I am off to work, thank you all for your words of kindness regarding my last whiny journal entry.
Not feeling up to par tends to make me slightly grumpy....i am sure most of you can relate.

Because i enjoyed reading your answers in my last "In your opinion" questionaire......I thought, why not do it again?
Hope you don't mind?

Yeah Babe was funny, basically if there is a talking animal in it Im seeing it.

Darke loves the movies I make him see...really.

Ill probably bawl my eyes out when The Last Unicorn finally comes out, the wait is killing me. They need to update their site.

You can always be a cheater and save a couple of snowballs in the fridge for when Dorwayin comes home, get him when he has no ammo. biggrin
almalthia:
Deviant, who me? wink

Come on, who wouldn't like to be pelted with a snowball in the middle of the living room?

The best snowball fight Darke and I ever had was inside his car. The car had a buildup of snow on the roof so I decided to roll down the window and throw it at him. After the first snowball, it escalated into a battle royal while driving down the road. I highly recommend it.

Well.......
It's official, i am a complete loser.
I spent the week rather sickly and depressed due to the weather.
I had wanted to take a day off from work this week due to some ongoing sinus/ear problems which i had mentioned in my previous entry.
But alas, another co worker had a knee injury and had to take the rest of the week off....

Yeah, we both end up taking photographs along the way. The sets look much the same, for the most part, but not specifically by design. I'm actually in the midst of uploading them now. You can expect a URL soon. smile

Feel better, Shel! I wish I could toss a samosa or five your way, but my arm just throw it all the way to Brockton. smile

You know, I didn't used to scratch my skin when I was nervous, but now I've started doing it, especially in therapy. I wonder why that is!

Well.....NoFi got all the answers correct, with Morgan coming pretty close and all my other friends making a very decent effort.

Tonight, when i come home from work, perhaps i'll put up ten more movie lines to play with.

Until then, have a good day.

I'm off to kiss ass, and pick up the occasional dog poop.
Yeah, my real life fuckin rocks.

Well, a vasectomy is *much* easier and its success can be measured. I don't know how the costs would compare, but I would imagine that having tubes tied would cost more than having the vas deferens sealed.

I knew that the procedure was exactly what I wanted since I'd been wanting to have it done for years. When I left the outpatient surgery unit, I saw a young woman with her daughter. Cute kid. Seemingly well-behaved. And, all of a sudden, I felt gloriously happy as I wouldn't be having one myself. Relief! (One time I feared that I might have been part of an impregnation---I don't know if I've ever been quite so freaked out in my life)
surlymike:
Well, too late, I answered it. biggrin

And now for something completely different

I am going to list ten quotes from various films.
So you fellow film buffs out there can play, and if you can't guess what films they are from, or you are just in a foul mood of sorts and don't want to partake in my juvenile idea of fun.
Feel free to just leave a random comment......or even...
