well that was shortlived....
caved in and smoked last night..
sorry guys!
but i almost made it a whole two days, so there may be hope for me yet.
still cut way back on the caffeine and alcohol though.
But thanks to all of you who left me a lot of words of wisdom, inspiration and good ol advice.
don't count me down just yet...
there will probably be another attempt in the future.
If anything, i'm only mildly disappointed in myself.
because now i at least know that i can do this..
I can drive to work without a cigarette in my mouth
I can take a lunchbreak without smoking, even though it sucked doing so..
I can have a cup of coffee in the morning without a cigarette ( doesn't taste as good though)
I have a much less desire to drink without a pack of cigarettes around.
I can swear and scream a lot louder than i thought i could.
and i have a husband who loves me regardless of my bad choices.
so yeah... the possibilities are endless.
i think i spelled that wrong.
Thank you guys for all your support though, it meant a lot to me.
So i'm leaving you with this .....
Film recommendation for the week
oldie but goodie
Married to the mob
Michelle Pfeiffer plays the wife of a murdered Long Island hitman who hides out in the lower east side and falls for the FBI agent who's following her. This funny black comedy restarted the career of Dean Stockwell, who was nominated for an oscar for playing Tony "the tiger" Russo, and introduced audiences to Mercedes Ruehl as his wife.
Great soundtrack too...
it was directed by Jonathan Demme and came out in 1988.
hope everyone has a great weekend

About chinchillas: could a person with two cats successfully own one? Don't they have a problem with their teeth needing filing or something crazy like that? What about the sand box? I'm asking because I've always wanted one, but have probably heard a lot of misinformation. I could read books, but first-hand advice is better. Take your time, dear. I see you're a busy comment poster.
