I got new sneakers this weekend....some bizarre looking things called "Rocketdogs".
But they are soooo comfortable, and i needed a new pair for work.
Long gone are the days in which i worked in five inch heels...my feet are thanking me, my ass and calf muscles are not.

Colleen Dewhurst is seriously one of the most underrated character actresses. And she shines in every film she's ever been in.
Robbie Benson can cry on cue.... the whiny boy of the seventies, but he could cry at the drop of the hat..and for that reason alone he gets mad respect from me.
"Ode to Billy Joe" anyone?
Lynn Holly Johnson skating partially blind to a Melissa Manchester theme song!
and i do believe this cheesy love song was even nominated for a grammy or even an oscar, i cannot remember if it actually won though.
This movie makes me laugh at times (unintentionally of course)
and also makes me scream out at the screen..."Stop fucking throwing those roses on the skating rink!"
"I cannot believe you are going out on the ice wearing that little girls costume, are you insane?!"
This one is even more fun and sappy than that Moira Kelly cheesy classic "The Cutting edge"
and Lynn Holly Johnson was a professional ice skater, therefore at least sparing the filmmakers a body double for the skating scenes.
See it for the love of Robby Benson... he deserves it for all the crying he provided us before he became a teacher/filmmaker/ and sometimes voiceover guy.
hhmmm..... that's all for today, but if anyone can help me out... its been a while since i saw "Ode to Billy Joe"..i think that's the name of it anyway, the one with Glynnis O'conner?
